Over the last several months, we’ve introduced you to the people behind Soul Solutions, the counselors, the coordinators, the staff who show up every day for our community. This month, we’re shifting focus to one of the programs that makes our continuum of care possible: our Partial Hospitalization Program, or PHP.

What is PHP?

PHP is one of the most structured levels of care we offer. It’s designed for individuals who need significant support and consistency, but who don’t need 24-hour inpatient care. Participants attend programming during the day, five days a week, and return home each night, allowing them to begin rebuilding their lives while still receiving intensive, clinically guided support.

Why that structure matters

Early recovery often comes with a flood of decisions, emotions, and old patterns resurfacing all at once. PHP gives people a steady place to land while they sort through that. Group sessions, skill-building, and real-time support help participants practice the tools of recovery in a supported environment, then carry those tools home the same day. That immediacy is part of what makes this level of care so effective. Recovery isn’t just discussed, it’s practiced.

Who leads it

Our PHP program is facilitated by Adam Priebnow, LMAC, and Jay Durgin, LAC, whose steady presence and clinical expertise give participants a consistent, trustworthy foundation to build on. Both bring a direct, grounded approach to group work, the kind that builds genuine accountability without judgment. Participants often say it’s the relationships built in this program, with facilitators and with each other, that carry them through some of the hardest weeks of early recovery.

Why it matters to the bigger picture

PHP doesn’t exist in isolation. It’s one part of Soul Solutions’ full continuum of outpatient care, a bridge for people who need more support than lower-intensity outpatient services but are working toward greater independence. As participants stabilize, they often step down into less intensive programming, carrying forward what they built in PHP. It’s structured to meet people exactly where they are, and to keep meeting them as that changes. Because PHP is a multidisciplinary level of care, participants receive daily support from a registered nurse in addition to counseling services. Nursing check-ins focus on early recovery and abstinence, physical health concerns, medication education, withdrawal monitoring, and coordination of care, helping ensure participants receive comprehensive support during the most vulnerable stages of recovery.

The bottom line

Programs like PHP are why Soul Solutions can say, with confidence, that we meet people where they are. Whether someone needs the full structure of five days per week treatment or a lighter touch of ongoing support, our continuum of care is built to flex with their needs, not the other way around.

If you or someone you love might benefit from this level of care, we encourage you to reach out. Information sessions and evaluations are available.
